Nov 20, 2012 Myth Sharing

Happy Thanksgiving break!  On this Tuesday/Friday we started class by sharing our myth stories (only those that wanted to).  They were so awesome!  Thanks to those who shared!

We then completed a vocabulary sheet for our upcoming section on Babylon, in our notebooks.  The key terms students needed to write down were:

  • Empire: Many territories and people's controlled by one government.
  • Babylon: The capital of Babylonia; a city of great wealth and luxury
  • Caravan: A group of traders traveling together
  • Bazaar: A market selling different kinds of goods
  • Battering Ram: A powerful weapon with a wooden beam mounted on wheels
After that we read about the first thanksgiving and shared thanksgiving plans!  There is no homework, have a safe break!
