Happy Friday! Today we had current events. Students presented a lot of REALLY interesting articles! One was about possible refreezing the polar ice caps to help counteract the effects of global warming. Another showed pictures of animals that are masters of camouflage, and we had a number of articles that covered the flu.
Following this we watched CNN Student News which had a fascinating story on brain injuries and the effects of concussions and repeated blows to the head. Really interesting stuff!
Finally, I let students know that they would have the opportunity to make up points on their Mesopotamia Unit Test. During class students can work on correcting any answers that they got wrong. If they turn it back in and they have the right answer, I will give them back half credit (ex: if the problem is worth 2 points and they correct it with the right answer, I will give them 1 point back)
We will continue to work on the mummification webquest which will be due Tuesday. Have a good weekend!
