Jan 09, 2013 Mummy Webquest

Today we began discussing mummies!  We talked about why Egyptians mummified their dead, and then began our webquest to discover how they mummified their dead.

We began class by watching a short video on why the Egyptians mummified people.  While watching videos students the questions,

• Were the Egyptians obsessed with death?
• Why did they think they could achieve immortality
• What went into Egyptian tombs?

Following the video students began working on a webquest, where they will discover the process of making a mummy. This Mummy Webquest worksheet will need to be filled out with complete sentences, and contains the link to the website students can use to find the answers to the questions. We will work on this tomorrow in class, and then the final product will be due Monday.
